Hello Laura, I’m a young farmer as well, and it’s truly inspiring to watch the passion and commitment you bring to this beautiful profession. Farming isn’t just work, it takes genuine calling and heart to do it right. Wishing for a flawless harvest for this corn crop, and thank you for sharing such a great video.
I’m not a farmer myself more of a lifelong home gardener but I can clearly see that you’re intelligent, capable, and incredibly hardworking. If I may offer some friendly advice from someone who’s been around longer than even your parents and has gathered plenty of life lessons along the way: when we’re young, we often feel untouchable and rarely consider how today’s habits might impact our future health.
I’ve noticed that you frequently work in environments where you’re breathing in dust and various particles. I’m no medical expert, but over the years I’ve lost close friends and family members, some very dear to me, to respiratory illnesses caused by long-term exposure to harmful substances. Please consider protecting yourself by wearing a mask or respirator when needed. Your lungs are priceless, and you only get one set. Stay safe, stay well, and keep that wonderful energy for life, you owe it to yourself and to the people who care about you.
As always, thank you for sharing your journey. Speaking as an older carpenter who feels most alive with dirt on his hands and a completed task behind him, I truly appreciate what you do. We’re lucky to have someone willing to put in the hard work and openly show the realities, the struggles and rewards, of self-employment, and the daily effort it takes to keep everyone nourished and moving forward.
